Whatever
That sums up my attitude today. I wanted to pull another funny story out after the popularity of the poop-date incident but I just can’t find the humor right now. Work is killing me, the move is killing me, I just want the whole thing (work included) to be over and done with.
This project is a huge pain, made all the moreso by the usual high drama that goes on in this building. We have a launch date of August 1–it cannot get here fast enough and yet, there is so much still to do and it’s looming large and evil.
Much like the move. We get our keys Thursday night and the movers come this weekend. There is so much still to do I don’t think it can possibly get done while we’re both still working a full week. I mean, I haven’t even begun to call around and transfer utilities yet, much less finished packing dishes or books or whatever.
And people keep volunteering to help with stuff, which is awesome and all, except that the problem is a lack of organization and a lack of time when I can actually focus on what needs to get done. I could get a team over to the apartment and tell them to pack anything that isn’t nailed down but we’re also selling a lot of this stuff and pitching even more of it, so I’d have to be able to actually supervise the packing and that’s just not any help.
This too shall pass.
Gym Update
I’ve started getting quite a few hits and links lately from fitness and health related bloggers, which is really cool and also a little scary. It makes me feel even more accountable for keeping track of my progress, which is a good thing, it just caught me off guard.
So in the interest of record… this week was really not bad in terms of workouts but perhaps not so great in terms of food. I have a feeling that this is going to continue to be the case until after the move. I just can’t deal with the dinner hour AND pack a bunch of boxes AND be in bed by 9:30. It’s just too much. And so I’m focusing on sticking to the fitness schedule (thus the 9:30 bedtime) and not sweating the dinner so much right now. My head is too scattered to plan menus anyway.
I worked out a normal routine everyday this week but Monday. Though the distraction of poop girl kinda goofed my head up a little on Wednesday, I still got a good upper body session in and then did 45 minutes of cardio on Thursday. Michael was back from Ohio today and we did lower body, complete with 60 (3 sets of 20) Brickhouse Squats.
The Weekend
Tomorrow morning I’ll meet Michael for cardio and then go home and pack like a crazy woman. Then tomorrow night we’re driving to South Carolina to see Tyler perform in a show and visit with him for a while. With any luck, we’ll be back home and packing by lunchtime on Sunday.
