Off to See the Wizard

We’re taking off in a few hours on our first visit to Savannah. I’m stupidly excited about this little trip and have been awake for hours fiddling around and pacing the living room, willing Tanya to wake up so we can get moving. Which is silly because we can’t check into our hotel until 4.

I’ve booked us in a B&B that we can in no way afford and I don’t give a rats rear about that because it’s so damn cute I can’t stand it. It is in the historic district, albeit barely, and is gay owned and operated. We’re staying in the Blue Room, in case you’re interested.

Tanya has had a crappy couple of weeks and we’re in dire need of a “just us” getaway before we begin all of the family-centric holiday traveling. I’m working on making this trip as lovely and romantic as possible, even if it means I can’t buy any new sweaters this fall. And ya’ll know I love the sweaters. You can get me some for Christmas. I wear an XL at the moment.

So I’ll be back Monday and with any luck there will be pictures for a change. I’ve got charged batteries.
