Not Bad

The first day went pretty well but it wore me out. My brain shut down about five seconds after I got home and stayed that way until bed. I started with about 10 other folks going through the HR orientation and then four of us continued on to our departmental training which will go on all week. I’ve never had an entire week of training. Ever. Ultimately I think it’s a really good thing and says a lot about the company, but sitting through four more days of it is going to be a little rough.

Peachtree Center is overwhelming and I’m still kinda surprised to find myself working there. I think my brain just goes into convention mode when I get down there and I forget that this isn’t just for a weekend and all of my friends aren’t over in the Centennial Ball room listening to the guys from TORN. Very strange.

The whole MARTA-to-work thing was kinda nice yesterday but I need a bigger bag than the little gadget bag I bought so the quest for the perfectly sized satchel with the perfect gadget pockets begins.
