Polka, Tango Everyone!

This blog is in danger of becoming the all JMo, all the time blog. However, tomorrow afternoon my sister makes her walk down the isle to become a Mrs. The wedding chaos is well underway and as of last night almost my entire family, immediate and extended is in Columbus. If there was a natural disaster this weekend the bloodline would be terminated.

Tonight we rehearse. After that we eat a feast at a family-style Italian joint. Then the female bridal entourage, which includes me and Emily, will spend the night and most of the day tomorrow at the hotel doing whatever it is that women do in the 12 hours preceding a wedding. I like beer.

This is going to be a terrific weekend and I’m looking forward to every minute of it. If anyone comes near my head with a bow, however…

In other news, I have returned to work with the company I contracted with last Fall and I’m thrilled to be back. I am going to be able to bill more than 40 hours a week initially on the projects I’m slated for, AND they increased my rate by $5. I loved working here and I love it again already. This time I’m going to see to it that I stay busy, even if I have to badger my way into projects I’m not invited on. I want to be here on a more permanent basis so I’m prepared to put up a fight this time.

Meanwhile…

There is an elephant in this blog’s living room. A lot of you know that and I will eventually write something meaningful about it. For now, I want to enjoy this weekend with my family and take lots of goofy pictures and concentrate on my job. I’ll return to less vague blogging soon.
