Cool stuff they gave me for getting hired:
Overheard last night at Target: “You’re dirtier than a Dollar General!”
Additionally, and specifically for Sarah F…
My cat won’t eat treats. Have you ever known a feline to turn his nose up at anything treat related? And it’s not just these recently purchased “healthy” treats, either. He won’t even eat tuna–a gift that only occurs if their lame-ass owner has run out of cat food for some reason and fears they’ll starve or kill me in my sleep before I buy new.
No, Spencer will only eat his dry food. He will walk straight past the little salmon flavored nibblets that are supposed to help his hairballs as if they weren’t even there. And you know, that’s going to be a challenge someday if he gets old and sick and needs nursed or something.
Even Arwen seems mostly indifferent to treats. She’ll eat them but she doesn’t then subsequently haunt my legs begging for more as some cats are prone to do. Tuna, however, makes her very happy. Hmmm.
Finally…
I bought a bicycle from a lady off of Craigslist who lives up the street. It seems to be a pretty decent bike but I want to find a shop and get a tune-up. I tooled it around the parking lot and apparently I am still capable of the kind of balance required to do it, so that’s a good sign. I’ll post pictures of that before long. Mostly this week I’ve been too tired to do anything other than buy it and look at it.
And there you have it.

My cats won’t eat treats either. However, my dog loves cat treats.:)
I find that my cats enjoy popcorn every now and then.
Thanks for the kitty update.

Oscar and Emily are all about treats. Boo couldn’t care less. I wondered if he was an alien when we first got him.

Are you allowed to have Star Wars action figures on your desk? If not, I’d reconsider working there…

I always have Yoda on my desk, Amy. Everyone needs a guide.

Larry won’t eat treats or table scraps. I don’t understand him. However, he does love lettuce. So does George. Weird.

Lettuce? The hell?

i had a cat once who ate lettuce — he’d eat anything you gave him, except any meat sauce (he ate some chili once, and really didn’t like it…)
