I think I’m probably a tad nuts but I’m going to turn in an application for a new apartment this afternoon. The motivation is three-fold.

Reason 1: Money. It is a bit cheaper and the water bill is included in the rent.

Reason 2: Money. It is less than 2 miles from work, as opposed to 12. Do you buy gas? Lord.

Reason 3: Divorce. It’s just a bit weird to live in a home you made with someone who is no longer there. At least for me. And unlike a house, there’s no investment here, financial or otherwise. Why stay? I’m nowhere near anything or anyone.

On the downside, ugh. Moving. Again. Also, timing-wise this is going to be a trick because I’ll be looking at a late August move-in and an early September trip to Atlanta, which is in part to deliver Tanya’s belongings into storage with the incredibly generous Katie and Nicole.

Logistics, logistics, logistics.

The apartment is pretty cool. I’ll tell more and post pictures when and if I find out if I’m getting it.
