Amen

The fact that the Weavers did not win the Amazing Race is probaby the best evidence we have for the existance of God. Well, that and pretty flowers and babies and beer and other important miracles of the universe.
The Linz family ended up just constantly surprising me. Despite my initial fears that we were in for a season of farts and fat chick jokes, they really just ended up being a pretty class act. They were positive, kind, upbeat and enthusiastic to the end. They did very little whining, they exhibited tremendous patience with each other and with the game and were gracious winners. Go Cincinnati!
And how cute was it at the finish that the Paolo boy was actually crying. Was it because he was sad that he lost the money or really happy for the teams that won? Hmm.
The race itself was really dull this season, but the players kept me watching. Let’s hope that in February we’ll get back to some challenges that involve something more spectacular than finding a box in a basement.

wish I had seen the end!

I’m happy with who did (and especially who didn’t) win. But I watched the finale last night (Tivo), and actually FELL ASLEEP during the final “challenge” — which was, I believe, a JIGSAW PUZZLE. This season blows.

Yeah, anyone who’s good at geography was yelling, “For the love of God, Oklahoma goes there! Coastal states first! AAIIGGHH!”
