Lipstick & Dynamite

I caught this documentary on Showtime last night.
I’d never even heard of it and did not set out to watch it but it was on when I flipped on the television and before I had time to surf to the guide and see what else was showing, I was hooked. I don’t even know what to say. It’s fascinating, repellant at times, occasionally depressing, but utterly engaging. For those of us who love underdog stories and tales of feminist triumph (before “feminism” devolved into something trite), this film is a gem. I imagine these hard-bitten ladies look at a movie like, A League of Their Own, and just snort derision.
And honestly, I can’t stand professional wrestling. Who knew.

I have to see this. It looks like it could be the greatest story every told.
