November 3: Busy

Lots and lots on the weekend radar:

-Mom and Dad come into town tonight to see Tyler and hang out.

-Going to dinner tonight with OSUJenn’s friends and then dragging London Julie to hear my Uncle Lloyd’s band play at a bar in Victorian Village. The show starts at 9 at Victoria’s Midnight Cafe at Fifth and Neil, and anyone who would like to come out is totally welcome. Lloyd has a great voice and plays a mean guitar. Call if you’re interested.

-Spending Saturday with my family and hugging my nephew. I can’t believe I haven’t seen him in three weeks. I could just about die. I know my mother is experiencing this even worse at this point but it’s like an ache.

-Dinner at Brad and Dallas’s most excellent house on Saturday night. Can’t wait to see them and check out what they’ve done to the place.

-And in addition to laundry and chores on Sunday, hopefully hanging out with OSUJenn and NBK (not at the same time). Heh.

London Julie is no longer London Julie. She and her boyfriend have split and she will not be moving afterall. Is it terrible to feel completely horrible for her and completely pleased for me at the same time? We’re going to go find her an apartment next week. But we need to come up with a new nickname. Tommy is voting for Bacon. Which is a total inside joke but it cracks me up.

I have a feeling there might be an entry entry brewing somewhere inside of me. Not about Julie, totally unrelated. But I haven’t been moved to write much here beyond the usual day-to-day. Some wheels are turning these days that might eventually lead to something. Or maybe not.

Trying to post every day for November is actually an interesting motivator. I’m glad JenZ suggested it.

TGIF Everybody!

  3. That ache? I get it towards the end of every work day. Parenthood is like a disease — but in a good way.

  4. I’m glad you listened!

Also, I completely understand the auntie ache. I haven’t seen Sophia in two weeks and am planning to go over there tonight.
