December 7: It is totally snowing

Brr.
I had a strange thing happen in my head yesterday that will make some of you shake your heads in wonder but for me it was almost an epiphany.
I suddenly had the North/South/East/West puzzle fall into place for Columbus. I’ve lived here for more than two years. It took a while. And the puzzle has really only clicked for city streets, not entirely for highways yet, but I think I’m close to that break-through as well.
I know, I know, pitiful.
This has been a really busy week but I can finally see the light at the end, so to speak. Our company holiday party is Saturday night and I’m still planning on doing something kookie to my hair. JMo asked me if it would wash out before Christmas Eve church service and I thought about it for a minute and realized that I’m 34-years old and I really don’t care anymore.
Tyler has apparently started rolling over on his own. I was hoping to get video of that Tuesday night but he refused to cooperate–of course. Hopefully soon.
And that’s all the news for now. I hope that wherever you are, you’re staying warm.
(Confidential to Dana: Take it to the bridge!)

i am quite cold, but just happy to be alive.
The windchill in St Louis is -2. brrrrr…
I say wear the blue hair proudly to Christmas Eve Service!

I’m going to have to see pictures to know whether I approve of the blue hair thing. I just have this unfortunate blue hair = old lady connection in my brain, so I’m having trouble picturing COOL blue hair.

amy’s initial dying turned out to be a lovely burgundy color which actually very much complements her complection and eyes, but is totally not “shocking”. let’s see how adding the blue cement works out tomorrow.
