Friday Bullets

  • It may actually be the coldest day EVER today. And I realized halfway to work that I left my gloves in my other coat. This time last year, there was no other coat. Progress breeds problems.
  • I’m pretty much living in my snow boots right now. And I’m not the kind of girl who wears her boots outside and puts on her proper shoes inside. Nope, not me. I cannot be bothered to think that hard about footwear.
  • I had sushi for lunch yesterday. It may be the first time in my life that I have ever actually ordered that, by myself, from the menu, rather than just eating a piece or two off of a tray ordered for the table. It was okay. I’m not in a hurry to do it again though.
  • Work is sending me to Minneapolis for two days next week. Brrr.
  • At the risk of jinxing myself, I’m sorry to tell you that I have not fallen on my ass one time this winter. Remember how in 2005 I fell down in the parking lot every single Thursday on the way home from counseling? Good times!
  • I adore the song Cornflake Girl, despite not having the faintest idea what the hell it’s about. And really, I don’t actually want to know, so don’t anybody send me some kind of essay on it. This is probably one of those rare instances when knowing might actually ruin it.
  • The entire stairway REEKS of onion.
  • And I think this list is about as random as it gets for one day.

  1. Why does the stariway reek of onion?? First I am so proud of you that you have more then one coat and second we will work on taking the right steps to make you the kind of girl that does not wear her snow boots all day :)

  2. She comes by it naturally-I wear my snow shoes all day too, even though I hate them and gripe about having to wear them.

  3. I have two coats, too, so I bought a second pair of gloves. I’ve been there, and I hate chapped hands.

  4. I wear the same boots almost every day even when there isn’t snow because i love them, so more power to you.

    also, didn’t know you were listening to mika! i just got the whole album from a friend in mp3 format, so if you don’t have all of the songs yet, I can give you the rest.
