Friday Bullets

- Work is crazy-busy but that’s usually a good thing. Being out that extra day due to weather was not helpful though.
- We’re in the middle of performance reviews, which is an intense and involved month-long process that involves each of us providing constructive, 360 degree feedback on several of our peers, as well as writing our own self-evaluations. That’s an extra and important load on top of all the client work and it’s always an anxiety-producer for me.
- BaconJ bought us tickets to hear John Mayer tonight at Nationwide Arena, and afterwards, the Quartet of Doom (Me, BaconJ, Ellen and NBK) are planning to meet Jeff and Tommy at a pub to hear the Yellow Snow Cones, which features another co-worker of ours, Greg.
- My plans for a relaxing weekend may involve a crash course in Grey’s Anatomy at OSUJenn’s and a visit with Jennifer and Tyler, but will also include helping Jeff pick up his new bed from Macy’s furniture and working on performance reviews at home.
- Speaking of Jeff and Ellen, three cheers for the simultaneous departures of their respective ex’s this weekend. They’ve both been living with break-ups for a while and will finally have their own spaces back.
- Shannon and I were talking about how different our social circles are these days. Her’s is now full of partnered couples with babies on the way while mine is suddenly rife with singles in various states of relationship angst. I guess we tend to surround ourselves with what we know at any given time. That’s just life. But sometimes even I am surprised at how “OC” my life sounds when I try to give her the update in 10 minutes or less during our drive-home phone calls.
- And finally, a group at work has launched one of those traveling gnome escapades with a colleague’s computer mouse. Photographic evidence of the journey of Hammbo’s mouse can be found at www.amysmouse.com. She doesn’t know about it yet, so hopefully she’s not reading here.

OMG i bet Hamm flips out when she sees the toilet shot. LOL
