Friday: No bullets

I have been monsterously ill and mostly out of town for the last week.

Truck Update: Lucy is fine, although she still needs some work on a few sensors and gee-gaws that don’t make any sense to me but will likely cost some money and time. She got me happily to Dayton and back for my flight to Tampa.

Florida trip and Christening: I’m a god mother. It’s official. I have a certificate and everything. Elizabeth is completely fabulous. She seems to tolerate everything but a poopy diaper with grace and aplomb. She wasn’t entirely thrilled by the annointing with oil bit but we got through that and she calmed down enough to go up with Christina for her first communion. Not that she hit the wine and wafers or anything, but she went down to the altar, nevertheless.

I had a terrific time with everyone involved. Big shout-out to Myra and Ann for putting up with my nasty sinus infection all weekend–I’m sure I was just a snotty, coughing joy to be around on Monday and Tuesday particularly. But it was wonderful to see them and the Hollands and all the St. Pete geeks again. Not to mention getting to escape the Ohio snow mess that transpired during my trip.

Work: Is kicking my ass.

Life: Is going to significantly improve now that I have drugs. This is especially good since I am FINALLY going to Seattle next weeend to see Samantha. I am seriously looking forward to that trip, even as I suffer through a head full of goo and a workload that is freaking me out a bit.

Watching: Playing serious catch-up on Lost and Survivor.
Listening: Made Up Love Song: the Guillemots, First Day of My Life: Bright Eyes, Making Pies: Patty Griffin, Sewn: the Feeling, Four Left Feet: the Dittybops
Reading: The Eragon books, by Christopher Paolini

    b. Yeah, about that certificate. Did you make off with the whole packet of papers? We kind of weren’t paying attention.

  4. Yeah, I have them all. Was going to FedEx them when I get a chance. I meant to hand them off to Christopher on Sunday afternoon and we got totally distracted.
