Keep the car running

Some things worth knowing:

I moved and the new house is awesome.
I went to the Pork Festival with my parents and the Austin Hollands and it was also awesome.
Ellen had back surgery, which was not so awesome but it appears to have been a success.
Recovery will take some time yet and at the moment she is bored and stuck at home with limited mobility.

Some things worth reading:

Middlesex, by Jeffrey Eugenides was hard to get into but once I was hooked, it was impossible to put down.
The Grave Tattoo, by Val McDermid: I love everything this woman has written–she is the master of the psychological thriller/crime novel as far as I’m concerned.

Some things worth hearing:

Arcade Fire: Keep the Car Running
Fiest: 1234–yes, the ipod commercial song.
Bucktown Kickback: Lost in Your Own Hometown

All available legally on iTunes. :)

Some things worth watching:

Kid Nation! There are no words to explain how entertaining those rug rats were in the premier episode. Survivor fans should check it out.
The season premier of CSI: Who thinks Sara is really going to die? Anyone? Anyone? I think maybe I do. Let’s hope I’m wrong.
DeGrassi–The Next Generation–Just kidding.

Not much, I know. But I had to post at least once in September.

  1. We have to work tomorrow night so I am dvr-ing CSI( and Survivor) -folks at work are so mad we may not be home in time-I will have to be careful not to let any spoilers slip if not everyone sees it.
I also liked Kid Nation but it really got to me when that little guy was so homesick!
