2007: The Year in Pictures
By AmyMo on Dec 31, 2007 in Life, Recap
I loved doing this last year. So I did it again. It was almost as powerful the second time around. Two major things that strike me about this album:
1. The kids. Look at them, there are several. Tyler, Persephone and Elizabeth primarily, but also Julie’s niece and nephew. Looking at how much those kids changed and grew from January to December is just amazing.
2. Trips, Travel and People. In 2007 I made good on last year’s vow to get more of YOU into this recap album and by God, I did it. And some of you who weren’t in last year’s album at all made it into this year’s TWICE. Highlights this year included trips to Seattle, Chicago, St. Petersburg, Vegas and Atlantic City. 2008 shall be the year of Boston, San Francisco and Austin if things go well, with possible return visits to Chicago and AC.
The album starts on New Year’s Eve (weepy, bitter and drunk!) and Ends this year with Christmas (Dry-eyed, happy and slightly buzzed). The distance between those two days seems immense to me. And if you’re looking at the size of that album you’re probably going, “Dude. That’s a lot of pictures–trim it down!” But every single one of them is important. Last year was important. It was tremendous both professionally and personally. I’m still staring at it all and shaking my head.
Happy New Year to each and every one of you. Take stock, take a deep breath and walk on into 2008 like you mean it. Time marches on. And pretty soon–you’re not there anymore.

That was great, Amy. Happy New Year!
